Martin Svaton MD, PhD

Martin Svaton was born in 1986 in Pilsen, where he studied grammar school and then at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. He graduated in 2012 and since then he has been working at the Clinic of Pneumology and Phthisiology of the University Hospital in Pilsen. Here he mainly focuses on the topic of lung oncology. He also defended his doctoral thesis on this topic. He is the author of a number of Czech and foreign lectures and publications - most often on the topic of prognostic and predictive markers in non-small cell lung cancer. At the same time, he also teaches - both at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen, but also at the University of West Bohemia. He also gained experience at several Czech and foreign internships. In 2020, he also successfully passed the European examination in pulmonary medicine (ERS HERMES examination).
