3rd Annual World Bronchiectasis Conference is organized by MedStar Health and will be held during Jul 12 - 14, 2018 at Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center, Washington, Dist of Col, United States America.

The target audience for this medical event is intended for pulmonologists, critical care physicians, infectious disease specialists, pharmacists, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, respiratory care practitioners, allied health professionals, students, and any members of the healthcare team interested in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial lung infections. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 13.75 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits.

Course Description:
The conference is a focused, cutting-edge gathering of the world’s experts on bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial lung infections. Highlights include recent advances in research on disease mechanisms in bronchiectasis, including new understandings on the role of inflammation, infection and the microbiome. Clinical topics will include sessions on the diagnosis and treatment of bronchiectasis and NTM infections, including small group, case-based presentations specifically aimed at understanding the role of airway clearance, anti-inflammatory treatments and antibiotics. On Saturday morning, July 14th, the program will navigate the management of patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial lung infections and will be of particular interest to pulmonologists and infectious disease practitioners who treat patients with these challenging infections.

The meeting brings together the expertise of the US Bronchiectasis Research Registry and the European Bronchiectasis Registry (EMBARC) principal investigators as well as experts from Canada, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. This program will benefit the entire healthcare team who care for patients with bronchiectasis and NTM infections including pulmonologists, infectious disease physicians, pharmacists, nurses and respiratory care practitioners.

• Implement appropriate treatments for bronchiectasis based on current guidelines and review of the literature.

• Recognize the important role of respiratory care practitioners in teaching airway clearance modalities.
• Identify the drug and patient-specific issues that complicate the care of patients requiring multiple therapies.
