Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
• Describe how to give the right physical activity prescription to the right patient at the right time.
• Apply an equity lens to recognize the ongoing disparities in access to sport and how this impacts the health of our communities and our own treatment decisions.
• Recognize the ongoing workforce disparities that impact the field of sports medicine and consider solutions to enhance diversity of the field.
• Describe an evidence-based strategy for the evaluation of competitive athletes after COVID-19 infection.
• Describe specific strategies for safe return to sport for teams and for individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Describe how to craft policy to advance sports medicine access and care for everybody, and how the COVID-19 may present opportunities to further this goal.
• Identify 3 strategies that promote resilience in physicians in midst of a crisis.
• List 4 leadership techniques that are helpful in managing teams through a crisis.
• Identify specific ways to incorporate telehealth to enhance both patient care and your clinical practice.
• Identify sexual violence reporting requirements for sport medicine physicians and medical personnel.

• Recognize when it is appropriate to use a weighted ball velocity throwing program in throwing athletes.
• Identify appropriate imaging modalities to assess for an elbow medial ulnar collateral ligament injury in throwing athletes.
