American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN)

The American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) was founded in 1978 as a not for profit, educational forum. AAACN is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation incorporated in New Jersey.

In 1993, the organization's name was changed to the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN). Membership was broadened to include nurses in clinical practice, education, and research roles as well as those in management and administration, and today the association has more than 4,400 members.
