Austrian Society for Geriatrics and Gerontology / Osterreichische Gesellschaft fur Geriatrie und Gerontologie (OGGG)

The Austrian Society for Geriatrics and Gerontology is a non-profit scientific association whose aim is to promote research and teaching about aging and the dissemination of geriatric and gerontological knowledge.

Mission:
The OGGG represents and develops geriatrics and gerontology in Austria.

It represents the interests of multimorbid and vulnerable older people and their relatives.

Its members are perceived and consulted as experts on questions of aging and geriatric medicine.

The OGGG promotes:
the acquisition and implementation of scientific knowledge in geriatrics and gerontology
the networking of people, disciplines, professions, groups and institutions researching and practicing in this field and
the geriatric-gerontological competence development in education, training and further education.
