MEDICHEM

Waldachtal, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany

MEDICHEM was established in 1972 and is the international scientific association for occupational and environmental health in the production and use of chemicals. It has a worldwide membership.

MEDICHEM's prime objective is international co-operation in those occupational and environmental health issues related to the production and use of chemicals that are of universal concern, which are most effectively resolved through a globally co-ordinated approach.

MEDICHEM's underlying objective is to contribute to the prevention of adverse effects on employees, customers and the general public, arising from the production and use of chemicals.

MEDICHEM is apolitical and concerns itself with the scientific and technological aspects of occupational health rather than the formulation of national or company policies.

MEDICHEM recognizes each country's right to make its own decisions, but through the dissemination of reliable information contributes to the development of rational legislation in the field of occupational health.
