The National Black Nurse Practitioner Association (NBNPA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), primary located in Houston, Texas. Since 2010, the NBNPA has been an essential part of Houston and its surrounding areas. We are “Nurse Practitioners on the Move.” In keeping with this motto, we are committed to the advancement of Nurse Practitioners and the improvement of healthcare disparities among underserved communities. Our mission is to empower the advancement of APRNs in their profession, fostering social fellowship among members and serve as philanthropist, in the community. The NBNPA is fortunate to have outstanding Advanced Practice Registered Nurse leaders within its organization that serves in a variety of professional settings.

To reach out to the communities across the economic spectrum and provide healthy professional services to meet the community needs. To inspire nurse practitioners to lead in health and wellness for our communities by promoting outreach education. To take an active role in our professional and enhance community awareness of the availability of an inclusive health care provider who visualizes the patient as an individual and treat them with dignity and respect.
