Society of vascular Nurses (SVN)

The Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN) is a professional organization for vascular nurses throughout the UK. Through a culture of sharing, we can offer excellence in clinical practice, education, research and professional networking. The SVN aims to offer its members with opportunities and learning to ensure they have the basis to provide ‘optimal care for patients with vascular disease

The aims of the society shall be:- • To promote a national network of vascular nurses through newsletters, conferences and the facilitation of regional groups. • To collaborate with other national and international professional associations who share concern and interest for people with vascular disease. • To provide a forum to advance the education of nurses involved in the care of patients with vascular disease. • To encourage members to be proactive in the development of vascular nursing. • To support developments in vascular nursing research. • To encourage members to be active within the field of health education and health promotion for people with vascular disease. • To promote public awareness of peripheral vascular disease and consistency of evidence based care nationally.
