Swiss Society of Cardiology / Schweizerische Gesellschaft fur Kardiologie (SGK)

The Swiss Society of Cardiology (SGK) is a professional and scientific association in accordance with Art. 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code.

The society was founded in 1948 and brings together specialists and scientists who deal with cardiovascular diseases. The company aims:
• Maintaining relations between members of society.
• To support the practical application of the research results for the benefit of the health of the individual and of the population.
• The promotion of science in the field of cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular education in continuing education and training.
• The promotion of the next generation of qualified specialists for cardiology or scientists.
• The organization of scientific meetings.
• Cooperation with the Swiss Heart Foundation.
• Cooperation with Swiss and foreign (medical) companies, institutes and scholars.
