University Hospital of the Saarland / Universitatsklinikum des Saarlandes (UKS)

The UKS - University Hospital of the Saarland - was founded in 1947 under the sponsorship of the University of Nancy on the grounds of the former Palatine Healing and Nursing Institute in Homburg. Today, the entire spectrum of medicine is offered here on a campus embedded harmoniously in the countryside.

The UKS plays a leading role in medical education, research and health care far beyond the Saarland. We offer our patients a scientifically based and innovative cutting-edge medicine. We place particular value on ethical and social competence. Our teaching and training is practice-oriented, interdisciplinary and characterized by international cooperation.
