The University of Eastern Piedmont "Amedeo Avogadro" was born in 1998, has a tripolar structure unique in Italy and refers to the territory on which the University is divided: Alessandria, Novara and Vercelli. Why Amedeo Avogadro? The naming of the illustrious scientist from Quaregna was due, in addition to his fame throughout the world, certainly to the need to add a unifying characterization also in the name, to an Athenaeum that was born in three different provinces. Which territory is involved? The institutional faculties are divided into three cities - Alessandria, Novara and Vercelli - and in other detached training centers: Alba, Asti, Biella, Fossano, Tortona, Verbania.
