Dr. Adam S. Vaughan, Ph.D., MPH, MS is an Epidemiologist at The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He received a Doctor of Philosophy from Emory University. His research interests are Spatial Epidemiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Mortality, and Geographic Disparities. His work at CDC focuses on the national surveillance of heart disease and stroke by generating and analyzing county-level cardiovascular disease death rates. His work also helps health departments and communities have access to the data they need to address the rising burden of cardiovascular disease. This work is prepared and accomplished by Dr. Vaughan in his personal capacity.
