Dr. Adrian Chong is a Staff cardiologist at Princess Alexandra and Mater Adult Hospitals in Brisbane. He commenced private practice as a founding partner at Brisbane Heart in September 2014. He completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree before graduating from Medicine with first-class honors and a university medal from the University of Queensland. Adrian completed his cardiology advanced training and clinical echocardiography fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital followed by a two-year clinical and research imaging fellowship at St Michael’s Hospital and the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute (University of Toronto) in Toronto, Canada. As a general cardiologist, his clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and heart failure. He is board-certified in all aspects of transthoracic, stress, and transoesophageal echocardiography and is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland with active research interests in aortic valve disease and is also an invited speaker and examiner for the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DMU, Cardiac).
