Ajith Amarasinghe MBBS, DCH, MD, MRCP, MRCPCH

Dr. Ajith Amarasinghe, MBBS, DCH, MD, MRCP, MRCPCH is a Consultant Pediatrician and Clinical Allergist at the Lanka Hospitals. Dr. Ajith Amarasinghe graduated from Colombo Medical Faculty in 1993. He has obtained DCH and MD from the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine of the University of Colombo. He trained in general and community pediatrics in Sri Lanka and the U.K. and obtained MRCP and MRCPCH in the UK. Dr. Amarasinghe worked as the Consultant Paediatrician and Medical Superintendent at the Base Hospital in Hambantota before joining Apollo Hospitals Colombo at its inception. He served as a council member of the Sri Lanka Medical Association and was on the editorial committee of the Sri Lanka Journal of Child Health. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee and Chairman of the Ethics Committee at Apollo Hospitals Colombo since 2003. Currently, he is reading for MBA-Healthcare Sciences(Manipal University - India).
