Dr. A. Jay Khanna is a spine surgeon in Bethesda, Maryland and cares for patients in and around the Washington DC metropolitan region. He is a professor of orthopedic surgery and biomedical engineering at the Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is the Vice Chair of Professional Development for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also serves as division chief of Johns Hopkins Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery—National Capital Region and his practice is based in Bethesda, MD.
As a spine specialist, Dr. Khanna is interested in the treatment of a wide range of spine pathologies using techniques ranging from minimally invasive spine surgery to complex spinal reconstructions. He often collaborates with other specialists in interventional pain management, neurosurgery, rheumatology, neurology and physiatry and enjoys providing a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to the care of his patients with various conditions of the spine.
