Al Haitham M. Al Shetawi BDS, DMD, MD

Dr. Al Haitham Al Shetawi has joined the Health Quest Medical Practice Division of Surgical Oncology. He is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, which treats several diseases, injuries and defects affecting the head, neck, face and jaw region. “My goal is to provide high standards of care and offer the latest surgical procedures close to home for patients of the Hudson Valley,”

His specialties include maxillofacial, head and neck surgical oncology. His focus includes the surgical management of all head and neck malignancies, advanced skin cancers, salivary gland tumors, and thyroid and parathyroid disease. He also specializes in microvascular reconstruction, the use of tissue from other areas of the body to rebuild the face, jaw, tongue, throat and portions of the head and neck.

Prior to joining Health Quest, Al Shetawi held an attending position with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. He earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, an affiliate of Montefiore Medical Center, in the Bronx. He also holds a dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
