Alena Reznik MD

Alena Reznik, MD, grew up in Southern California, graduating with highest honors from the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University where she was awarded a full scholarship. Dr. Reznik completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. After finishing residency in ophthalmology, Dr. Reznik and her family relocated back to Southern California, where she received additional sub-specialty training in glaucoma at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA.

Dr. Reznik contributed to studies on age-related macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome diagnosis and management, as well as novel approaches to eye emergencies. She has multiple published scientific articles and has presented her peer-reviewed findings at ophthalmology meetings.

Dr. Reznik places significant value on volunteer work and giving back to the community. While at Johns Hopkins and UC Davis, Dr. Reznik was involved in organizing community ocular disease screening events for local underserved communities. Dr. Reznik is fluent in Russian and enjoys spending time with her husband and young children.
