Alexander C. Mamourian MD

Alex Mamourian is a Professor Emeritus of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He has considerable experience with MR imaging having been the first NMR fellow at Penn in 1983 that led to supervision roles in the MR programs at Penn State-Hershey Medical Center and Dartmouth- Hitchcock Hospital. In between those appointments he completed a second fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He has written two radiology textbooks, two iBooks that can be found on the iTunes website, and currently hosts an Instagram site called radiophysics with over 500 unique education posts and over 1500 followers. His interests include CNS vascular imaging and disease, MR and CT physics and artifacts, and radiology education.
