Alexandra Dumitriu PhD

Alexandra Dumitriu is a Manager in the Computational Biomedicine team at Pfizer. She works on data analysis and infrastructure projects to leverage the value of Electronic Health Records (EHRs), epidemiological, and molecular data sets for disease biology insights. Her current efforts focus on Precision Medicine strategies in drug discovery research programs, including: implementation of research-grade phenotyping algorithms; advanced analytics for the prediction of patient clinical events and progression; mining of biomedical and clinical databases via ontology-based analyses and text-mining; and development of computational approaches for integration of health data. Prior to being appointed to her current role, Alexandra worked as an Instructor in Neurology at Boston University and as a Bioinformatics Scientist at a startup company.
