Dr. Alexandria Diego is a doctorally prepared advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner (AOCNP) with over 17 years of clinical experience, with almost 10 years in hematology/oncology expertise. She is a certified Cancer Genetic & Genomic Risk Assessment (GCRA) specialist and holds an APP Breast Certification from the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
She currently practices cancer genetics where she conducts hereditary cancer screening, and testing, as well as interprets genetic testing results, and refers patients as needed for genetic counseling and specialty referrals. Alexandria also independently runs a high-risk breast cancer clinic, as well as sees patients for various benign breast issues and breast surgical oncology surveillance.
Alexandria has clinical expertise in medical oncology (in various disease sites) and malignant hematology. She has also functioned as a clinical nurse specialist within hematology/oncology, for which she has served as a lead faculty and developed oncology-specific educational residencies for nurses and advanced practice providers.
