Dr. Ali Al-Melaih Al-Fazari graduated from FMHS in 1999. He completed his internship at Al Ain and Tawam Hospitals. Dr. Al-Fazari then began a residency programme in Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada which he completed in June 2004. He then joined the gastroenterology fellowship programme at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada which he completed in June 2006. Dr. Ali Al-Melaih Al-Fazari is American Board certified in Internal Medicine since August 2004. He further obtained a specialty certificate in internal medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and became a Fellow of the Royal College since August 2005. Following a successful completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship, Dr. Al-Fazari obtained the Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Subspecialty Certificate in Gastroenterology in September 2006.
Dr. Al Fazari is a leader in medical education. He is current Chair of the Higher Professional Training Committee at the College of Medicine, UAE University. He is also chairs the Emirates Digestives Diseases Group at the College of Medicine, UAE University.
Dr. Al Fazari has interest in gastric carcinogenesis and bioenergetics and hepatotoxicity. He published in several peer reviewed journals. He presented at regional and international conferences.
