Alison Tedstone

Alison is Chief Nutritionist and Director of the Diet and Obesity Team at Public Health England.The Diet and Obesity team leads Public Health England’s work programme to improve diets and tackle England’s obesity problem.Their areas of work include the National Diet and Nutrition Survey, researching the nutrient composition of foods, giving scientific advice on nutrition (including the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition), and providing public health messages on nutrition and diet issues.Alison has worked in government on nutrition since 2001 and before this she was an academic at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
