Dr. Amir Ahmadi completed his Undergraduate Studies, Medical School, Internal Medicine residency, and Cardiology fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He then moved to New York for advanced training in multimodality cardiovascular imaging including echocardiography, interventional echocardiography, cardiac CT angiography, and cardiac MRI at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. He subsequently joined the faculty at Mount Sinai Heart as an assistant professor and serves Co-Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Mount Sinai St Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Ahmadi is also an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and performs clinical services in Echocardiography, Advanced Cardiac Imaging, and Lipid/ Prevention Clinic at St Paul’s Hospital. He has spearheaded the Early Atherosclerosis Clinic at St Paul’s Hospital which focuses on screening and early treatment of patients with a family history of premature coronary artery disease.
