Amit Singh Tibb, M.D., FCCP, to the staff of Valley Medical Group, where he serves as Chief Quality Officer. He will also be providing clinical services at The Valley Hospital and Valley Medical Group.
As Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Tibb is responsible for directing clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives across Valley Medical Group. This newly created position plays a key role in the development of programs focused on clinical quality and safety, the patient experience, standard work, best practice implementation and clinical improvement.
In addition to his role at Valley Medical Group, Dr. Tibb will serve as The Valley Hospital’s Director of Palliative Medicine. He also is part of the hospital’s chest physicians and intensivist panel and is seeing patients at VMG ¬– Respiratory Health and Critical Care. The practice is located at 297 Lafayette Ave. in Hawthorne and at 44 Godwin Ave., Suite 201, in Midland Park.
Dr. Tibb comes to Valley from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y., where he served as Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and an Assistant Professor and Attending Physician in the hospital’s pulmonary critical care and hospice/palliative care medicine departments. Dr. Tibb retains his title of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
After completing his residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center, Dr. Tibb went on to complete fellowship training in multiple subspecialties at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y. He is now American board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care, neurocritical care, palliative care/hospice medicine and internal medicine. Dr. Tibb is also fellowship trained in clinical quality and patient safety, as well as healthcare simulation.
