Ananda Perera MBBS, MS, FRCS, FCSLL

Dr. Ananda Perera, MBBS, MS, FRCS is a Senior Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at The Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital. Dr. Ananda Perera is a leading figure when it comes to knee surgeries. He is a pioneer in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries, and more than 5000 total knee replacements and more than 2000 ACL reconstructions have been performed in addition to routine and trauma orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Ananda Perera has obtained his master's degree from the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, and a Fellowship from the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka. He is the immediate past president of the Sri Lanka Orthopedic Association and the current president of the Orthopaedic Association of SAARC Countries (OASAC). In addition to clinical work, he is involved in training and teaching activities for postgraduate doctors and local and foreign medical students.
