Andrew Ervin Wakefield MD, FAANS

Andrew Wakefield, MD, FAANS, is a neurosurgeon with the Hartford HealthCare Ayer Neuroscience Institute. He is Board-certified in neurology, Dr. Wakefield is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University of Connecticut and has earned the Hartford Hospital Medical Staff Humanitarian Award and a 20-year award from the American Medical Association. He earned a master’s degree in pathology/immunology and a medical degree from the University of Connecticut. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at Hartford Hospital and fellowships in neurosurgery, spine, at the University of New Mexico and Cleveland Clinic.
