Andrew Farkas has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals since 1996. Previously, he trained and was a Senior lecturer, in London. He is an examiner for the MRCOG examination, a member of the Ethics Committee ICS, and previously has been College Tutor and Clinical Director at the Jessop Wing, Sheffield. He has a special interest in all aspects of Urogynaecology (prolapse and incontinence) and, in particular, vaginal surgery. He maintains the linkage between obstetric and gynecological practice managing 600 new patients each year. Mr. Farkas is an experienced medico-legal practitioner preparing reports on the instructions of both the Claimant and Defendant Solicitors. For many years he was a member of the Directorate Risk Management Team addressing issues on perineal trauma and other birth injuries.
