Andrew Kopf MS

Andreas Kopf studied Medicine at the Free University of Berlin from 1979 to 1988. Since 1995 he has specialized in anaesthesiology, adding further specialisms in emergency medicine and surgical intensive medicine (1996), specialist pain medicine (1997), and palliative medicine (2007).

In addition to his current position as Chair of the Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Kopf is a visiting lecturer in the Department of Medical Physiology at the University of Nairobi. He is the teaching Supervisor for Pain Medicine and Palliative Medicine at Charite Medical University.

Dr. Kopf also serves as the Chair of the educational committee of the German Pain Society and was a long-term chair of the European Pain Federation and is a project leader for the German-Serbian Cooperation in Pain Medicine.
