Andrew M. Choo MD

Dr. Andrew Choo is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Choo specializes in Orthopedic Trauma with an emphasis on the management of all fractures, both acute and chronic, as well as shoulder and elbow injuries, including fractures and dislocations, arthritis, and tendon and ligament tears.

Dr. Choo received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. He attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency at Seton Hall School of Health and Medical Services. He went on to complete a fellowship in Orthopedic Traumatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and an additional fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow surgery from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Choo is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a candidate for membership in the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
