Andrew S. Sandler

Dr. Sandler serves as Dendreon's executive vice president, chief medical officer and also serves as the site head of our operations in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Sandler previously served as our senior vice president, global clinical and medical affairs, and has been with the company since 2010. Dr. Sandler has nearly 25 years of experience within the healthcare industry and oncology setting. Prior to joining Dendreon, Dr. Sandler held senior-level positions with several leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer Healthcare, Berlex, Seattle Genetics and Spectrum. Dr. Sandler did his post-doctoral training in oncology at University of California San Francisco. He received his B.S. from University of Rochester in neuroscience and his M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
