Anne-Marie C. Dingemans MD, Ph.D. is a pulmonologist and a professor of thoracic oncology. Since September 2019 she is a staff member of the department of pulmonary medicine at Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Between 2004 and 2019 she was appointed as a staff member at the department of pulmonary medicine at Maastricht University Medical Center+. She received her medical degree at Maastricht University in 1994 and subsequently her Ph.D. at VU Medical Center Amsterdam in 2000 for laboratory research on resistance to chemotherapy in lung cancer. She performed her training as a respiratory physician at VU Medical Center in Amsterdam and Leiden University Medical Center. Currently, she is involved in translational research on lung cancer, with a special interest in neuroendocrine lung tumors, driver mutations, and oligometastatic disease.
Since January 2021 she is chair of the EORTC lung cancer group. She was involved in the EORTC initiative to develop a consensus definition of synchronous oligometastatic NSCLC. She is a member of IASLC, AACR, ASCO, ERS, ESMO, and ETOP. She is the associate editor of the Journal of Thoracic Oncology and an editorial board member of the International IASLC Lung Cancer News. She has (co)-authored more than 200 publications and book chapters.
