Dr. Anthony A. Schepsis has over 30 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon specializing in open and arthroscopic procedures of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle, as well as sports related injuries. Formerly Director of Sports Medicine and Fellowship Director for the Boston University Orthopedic Surgical Sports Medicine Fellowship which he founded, Dr. Schepsis joined Coastal Orthopedics in 2013, based in Beverly Massachusetts, and is part of the Beverly-Lahey Health System. He continues to maintain his academic position as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Schepsis is also a Master Instructor in Advanced Knee and Shoulder Techniques for the Orthopedic teaching center in Rosemont, Illinois in conjunction with the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Schepsis graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts before being admitted to the Boston University School of Medicine. Upon earning his Doctorate of Medicine, Dr. Schepsis completed an internship in General Surgery at the Boston University Medical Center, followed by a residency in Orthopedic Surgery. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and later earned board certification through the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
