Antonio Molinaro BS, PhD

Antonio Molinaro is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Napoli Federico II (Italy) and Special appointed Professor at Osaka University (JP), in 1992 he received a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences at the University of Napoli Federico where he has reached in 2014 the position of Full Professor of Organic Chemistry. The research of prof. Antonio Molinaro is focused on the isolation and structural determination of carbohydrate-containing molecules publishing over 270 papers in peer review journals. His laboratories and his group are internationally recognized as leaders in glycoscience. In particular, in the last years, his interest has been in the study of the structure and role of cell wall elements of microorganisms in the elicitation of innate immune responses in mammals and plants.
