Antonios Tsompanidis, DO, FACOFP graduated from UMDNJ-SOM in 1994. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at UMDNJ-SOM in Stratford in 1997 where he was Chief Resident. Upon graduation he entered private practice. He has been a volunteer faculty member for the Christ Hospital residency program and UMDNJ-SOM since 2000. In 2009 he became an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, as well as the DME and the Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency at Christ Hospital. In 2016, he became the System DME for Bayonne Medical Center and Christ Hospital. In addition, he maintains his private practice in Hazlet NJ.

Dr. Tsompanidis is the current President of the NJ Chapter of ACOFP, President of the Monmouth County Osteopathic Medical Society, Assistant Speaker of the NJAOPS House of Delegates and a board member of the NJ Osteopathic Education Foundation as well as the RowanSOM Alumni Association. He was President of the NJ Association of Osteopathic Physicians in 2011. He has been the recipient of several medical and service awards including the rank of Eagle Scout, Outstanding Achievement awards for OMT and Family Medicine, the Alan Gartzman D.O. Memorial Award, induction into the AOA Mentor Hall of Fame, NJAOPS Service awards, UMDNJ-SOM Dean’s Appreciation Award, the rank of Fellow in the ACOFP and most recently a Teaching Dedication Award from Rowan University SOM.
