Dr. Apurba Sankar Sastry M.D (JIPMER) DNB MNAMS PDCR has done his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, Orissa. He is post-graduated from the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, and currently working as an assistant professor at the same institute. His area of interest includes hospital-acquired infection and prevention, antibiotic stewardship, and antimicrobial resistance surveillance. He is also the Hospital Infection Control officer of JIPMER. He has undergone training in a National course on Educational Science for Teachers of Health Professionals. He is impassioned about teaching and has been a popular teacher among the students. He has also contributed to more than 20 national and international scientific research papers.
