Barbara Bain MRACP, FRCPath

Barbara Jane Bain is an Australian haematologist and oncologist. She is a professor at the Imperial College Faculty of Medicine and a consultant at St Mary's Hospital, London. She is known as the author of multiple reference textbooks in the field of haematology that form the core curriculum for laboratory morphology and pathology. Professor Barbara Bain has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday 2020 Honours List for Australia, which is awarded as part of the Queen's Official Birthday celebrations during the month of June. Professor Bain was awarded Member (AM) of the Order of Australia (General Division), "for significant services to medicine, and to medical education, particularly haematology".
