Dr. Barbara Sue Koppel is a Clinical Professor of Neurology at the New York Medical College. After receiving a BA in Linguistics and General Science at the University of Rochester, she attended Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she also received her neurology training at the Neurological Institute. Her research interests reflect the patients she cares for, including seizures related to alcohol and cocaine use, neurologic complications of HIV, and other interesting conditions seen in a poor, mostly immigrant population.
