Biren N. Amin MS, MBA

Mr. Biren N. Amin serves as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst at Jefferies LLC, Research Division since August 16, 2011. He is responsible for the United States equity research, and covers biotechnology within the healthcare sector. He has more than 15 years of industry experience. Previously, Mr. Amin was a Director and Co-Head of WJB Healthcare Strategy at WJB Capital Group, Inc., Research Division.

Before this, he was an Analyst at Soleil Securities Group, Inc. Prior to this, Mr. Amin was a Biotechnology Analyst and Senior Research Analyst covering specialty pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sectors at FTN Midwest Securities Corp., Research Division; Stanford Group Company, Research Division; and Prudential Equity Group, LLC, Research Division. Earlier, he worked at Prudential Equity Group as a member of Prudential's II-rated Large Pharmaceutical team.

Mr. Amin was a Principal and Research Analyst at T-Rx Advisers LLC. He worked in Corporate Development at Aventis Pharmaceuticals. He received an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and an M.S. in Pharmacy from Long Island University.
