Birte Melsen DDS, Dr.Odont

BIRTE MELSEN, D.D.S., DR.ODONT., served as a professor and department head of the Department of Orthodontics at University Aarhus, Denmark, from 1975 until 2012, when she became Professor Emeritus. She is now a visiting professor at University of West Australia – Perth, NYU, and University of Hannover, Germany, and works part time in a private practice limited to adult orthodontics in Lübeck, Germany. She has authored more than 400 publications on the topics of growth and development, bone biology, and clinical implant studies. In 2000, she received the Knighthood of Dannebrog, 1st Degree.
