Dr. Bozena Wrobel is a Polish-born rhinologist. She received her undergraduate and M.D. degree from the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland. She completed an Otolaryngology Residency at the University of Colorado. She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. She completed a one-year fellowship in Rhinology (including advanced endoscopic sinus surgery) and Chemosensory Disorders (Smell and taste) at the University of Nebraska with Donald A. Leopold, M.D., F.A.C.S. In 2004. She also visited several times with Peter J. Wormald, M.D. at Adelaide University in Australia, to study and observe endoscopic surgical approaches to the anterior skull base.
Dr. Wrobel joined the full-time faculty at the USC Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Wrobel is the Director of the Allergy Clinic for the USC Head & Neck Group. For the past five years, Dr. Wrobel has been an active reviewer for the American Journal of Rhinology. Presently she serves as a Vice-President of the Los Angeles Society of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Wrobel is the Course Director of the annual USC Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course and for the last few years bi-annual USC Endoscopic Skull Base Courses. In March 2008 she organized and conducted the 1st International Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course in Kajetany, Poland which became an annual event with the 4th one coming up in June 2011. Dr. Wrobel is an invited Speaker at national and international sinus surgery courses and rhinology conferences.
Dr. Wrobel’s medical practice is oriented toward Rhinology and complex disorders of the Paranasal Sinuses. Her research interests include endoscopic anterior skull-base surgical approaches, advanced endoscopic frontal sinus surgery, and chemosensory disorders of smell and taste. Dr. Wrobel is fluent in English and Polish. Dr. Wrobel has been awarded for the 2nd consecutive year “Patient’s Choice Award”.
