Dr. Bruce Solitar is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, Langone Medical Center and is the Division Chief in Rheumatology at Tisch Hospital. He graduated from NYU Medical School and stayed for internship, residency, chief residency and rheumatology fellowship at Bellevue Hospital, Tisch Hospital and the Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is a member of the Rheumatology Division leading a weekly clinical teaching conference at the Manhattan VA Hospital and has engaged in clinical research projects involving fibromyalgia, autoimmune hearing loss, and retroperitoneal fibrosis.

Dr. Solitar has a particular interest in fibromyalgia, having published a number of peer-reviewed articles and spoken on the subject at various conferences. He is actively involved in teaching rheumatology fellows, residents and medical students at the NYU/Langone Medical Center. He was selected as most outstanding teacher by the NYU rheumatology fellows in 2007 and 2012. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
