Dr. Caitlin Mahan Madden grew up learning about podiatry in southern New Jersey from her father, a well-respected podiatrist, professor, and administrator. After graduating from the Honors Program at the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, she is now proud to follow in his path. Her four-year residency program at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center involved nationally-recognized podiatrists, and included training in acute foot and ankle trauma, reconstruction of the foot and ankle, diabetic limb salvage and wound care, and multiple non-podiatric medical and surgical rotations. Dr. Madden has particular interests in trauma and reconstructive principles, but treats all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery.
Dr. Madden is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), and is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association. She is married, enjoys horseback riding, and is always looking for a new book to read.
