Dr. Korngold completed his undergraduate degree in East Asian Studies at Stanford University in 2001. He earned a medical degree from Yale School of Medicine in 2009. Dr. Korngold completed his residency in adult psychiatry at Harvard Longwood, where he served as Chief Resident for Inpatient Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. His previous outpatient clinic was at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he developed expertise in managing psychiatric conditions in the context of co-occurring complex medical conditions. He won the Harvard Medical School Teaching Award twice for his dedication to excellence in medical and resident education. Dr. Korngold has a broad range of psychiatric experience, including in outpatient, inpatient, and consultation settings. In addition to specializing in adult psychiatry, Dr. Korngold also completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He has served as an expert in the field of psychiatry for different courts in Northern California. Dr. Korngold has taught about boundary issues in clinical practice at the American Psychiatric Association’s Institute on Psychiatric Services. He has also published in the field of forensic psychiatry in the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
