Chandra M. Kumar MBBS , MD

Chandra M. Kumar is a Visiting Professor, at Newcastle University Medical School, Malaysia and a Senior Consultant in Anaesthesia, at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore. Previously worked as Professor and Consultant Anaesthetist, The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, UK. Has conducted several research pertaining to ophthalmic, ageing and airway. Edited 10 textbooks in various subspecialties of anaesthesia, and published more than 125 peer review articles and editorials in high impact factor journals. Contributed 12 chapters for other books. Interested in elderly, ophthalmic, regional, colorectal anaesthesia, computers, technology and education. Lectured worldwide as an invited speaker and conducted master classes on ophthalmic regional anaesthesia in the world’s prestigious organizations. Recipient of the highest award (Platinum 2010) bestowed by the Department of Health to a practising UK consultant in the National Health Service. Featured as one of the Top Britain Doctor in 2010 published in The Times Magazine, UK.
