His methods include everything from exercise and lifestyle modification to advanced lipid testing and medication to personalize care to meet his patient’s specific needs and deliver the best outcomes. Dr. German also has experience treating patients with genetic cholesterol disorders, difficult-to-control blood pressure, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.

Along with his devotion to his clinical practice, Dr. German also conducts ongoing research that can help predict and prevent heart disease. Specifically, he has a keen interest in physical activity research, trying to understand how different types of exercise and physical activity mediate heart health. His work has been published in several highly respected, peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology, Heart, European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, and the American Journal of Hypertension.

As a physician, Dr. German understands the impact that mentors can have, so he takes his teaching opportunities seriously. He plans to guide medical students, residents, and fellows throughout their careers through practical training and lectures on topics related to preventive cardiology.
