Dr. Chege Macharia is a General and Head & Neck Surgeon currently working at AIC Kijabe Hospital, a faith-based hospital, northwest of Nairobi, Kenya. He is a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA, General Surgery, 2015), and completed his Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery (PAACS/ Johns Hopkins) in 2016. His current practice comprises primarily of the surgical management of head and neck tumors and maxillofacial trauma as well as being faculty for the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) surgery training program. He is a member of the African Head and Neck Society and has been involved in drafting guidelines for the management of head and neck tumors in resource-limited settings.
