Christian Schmidt MPH

Prof. Dr. Christian Schmidt will be the new CEO of the GHD group of companies. After studying human medicine in Münster and part-time studies in public health in Bielefeld and Boston, Schmidt completed specialist training in surgery. After completing his studies and several years of medical work in various clinics, Schmidt held management positions, most recently as Chairman of the Board and Medical Director of Rostock University Medicine. In addition to his professorship at the Hannover Medical School and teaching activities in Germany and abroad, Schmidt is also a member of the scientific advisory board of the Hamburg Health Management Congress. Schmidt has been working as Chief Operating Officer for the GHD group of companies since February 1, 2022.
