Christina Ullrich, MD, MPH, is a physician in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant as well as Pediatric Palliative Care at Boston Children’s Hospital /Dana Farber Cancer Institute and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. After receiving her MD degree (2001) from Harvard Medical School she pursued training in pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital.
She subsequently completed dual fellowships in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Palliative Care at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Her research training included a Harvard Pediatric Health Services Research fellowship as well as completion of a MPH degree in Clinical Effectiveness (2008) from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Ullrich is examining symptom management in children with cancer, with a focus on fatigue.
She is also currently investigating the palliative care needs of children who undergo hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, supported by a K23 Career Development Award from the National Heart, Lung and Blood institute. Dr. Ullrich is a 2007 Olive Branch Scholar of the National Palliative Care Research Center (NPCRC) and serves on the Scientific Review Committee of the NPCRC.
