Christopher R. Flowers, MD, MS, FASCO, is a Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Emory Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant team. Through the lymphoma clinic, Dr. Flowers offers a variety of clinical trials and advanced treatment algorithms for patients with lymphoma including CAR T-cell therapy. His clinic focuses on specialized care for patients with lymphoid malignancies involving multi-specialty input from hematopathologists, immunologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and specialists in nuclear medicine and bone marrow transplantation.

Dr. Flowers is part of the physician team working with Emory cardio-oncologist, Dr. Susmita Parashar in addressing the cardiovascular side effects of cancer therapy and improving cardiovascular outcomes for cancer survivors. He also serves as Scientific Director for the Winship Research Informatics shared resource.

Dr. Flowers is a member of InterLymph, an international collaboration of experts in lymphoma epidemiology that is focused on finding the causes for lymphoma. This group completed the first study to assemble data from lymphoma patients across the world to identify factors that may cause specific types of lymphoma. The Lymphoma Program at Emory has been a key contributor in clinical trials that have led to FDA approval of new drugs for cancer patients. Dr. Flowers also has been instrumental in developing national guidelines for the management of cancer patients with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Radiology, and the American Cancer Society. He is a Fellow of the& American Society of Clinical Oncology.
