Clifford B. Jones MD, FACS

Clifford B. Jones, MD is a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in trauma, adult and pediatric fracture care, infections, osteomyelitis, amputations, nonunions, malunions, pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, periarticular fractures, spine problems, and foot and ankle trauma.

Dr. Jones received his fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center, which consisted of extensive surgery and research of spinal fractures, pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, foot and ankle injuries, peri-articulator, and long bone fractures. He completed his orthopedic residency training at San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program in San Francisco; CA. Dr. Jones obtained his medical degree from the Indiana University Medical School.

Dr. Jones holds a strong affiliation with the Orthopedic Trauma Association (OTA), American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS), and American Orthopaedic Association (AOA), and Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium (METRC). He participates in ongoing trauma updates, multi-center studies, and grants from such prestigious organizations as the Department of Defense (DOD) and National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Jones is a sought-after researcher, professor, and lecturer. His research has been nationally recognized in peer reviewed high impact medical journals and national/international seminars. He is a guest editor for the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, and the Journal of Trauma. Dr. Jones has given hundreds of lectures, written numerous book chapters, and has conducted multiple live web casts.

Dr. Jones was received the Achievement Award Winner by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2012-15 for his contributions to education, research, and advocacy in orthopedics. Orthopedics This Week named him a Top U.S. Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon in 2012.
